Presentation
Come and discover one of the finest markets in the Rhône-Alpes region. In the heart of the medieval city, you'll discover local produce from here and elsewhere. Live poultry for sale.
Under Les Halles, the food market.
Over 300 meters of stalls, some sixty producers offer local produce: cheese, poultry, game, Dombes fish, meat and charcuterie, as well as ready-to-eat takeaways. Producers come and go throughout the year. As the seasons go by, fresh produce is on offer: strawberries, cherries, asparagus, apples, walnuts... The market's pride and joy is also its plantations, flowers and live poultry.
In the town center, you'll find a wide range of manufactured goods.
Over 500 meters of stalls sell clothes and shoes, drugstores, bazaars, small furniture and much more. On Saturday mornings, all these producers and traders join the local trade, helping to make the Châtillon-sur-Chalaronne market one of the busiest in the region.
Opening period
All year round, every Saturday between 8 am and 1 pm.
