A magical walk in the heart of the medieval town and the discovery of the Dombes ponds.
10am: Guided tour of the Dombes ponds
A land of a thousand ponds, the Dombes reveals landscapes and colors that change with the seasons. In this setting cohabits an incredibly rich fauna, starting with the birds. Stop with your guide at the edge of a pond to learn about its history, traditional fishing and discover this unspoilt natural environment (approx. 42 km tour with your coach, departing from Châtillon-sur-Chalaronne).

2pm: Guided tour of the medieval town "in black and white".
Discover Châtillon-sur-Chalaronne on a black-and-white tour. Travel back in time from the 1900s to the 60s to discover the town through monochrome views. Stroll along the promenade, the Place de la Bascule and the streets lined with shopkeepers: ironmongers, umbrella repairers, velocipede dealers, milliners, blacksmiths, butchers, bakers... You'll be transported back in time to the fairs that marked the lives of the people of Châtillonnais.
4pm: Self-guided tour of the Model Train Museum.
Between the real and the imaginary, a fabulous miniature show, unique in France, punctuated by multiple scenes that take you from the Alps to Provence via Lyon.
5:30pm: End of excursion
