With a total area of 7ha including 4ha of water, this body of water is reserved for fishing, picnic and promenade.
During the years 1975 to 1980, a major project was born: the construction of the TGV line Paris-Lyon in the town of Saint-Etienne-sur-Chalaronne. A plot of land offered abundant and quality gravel. After extracting several thousand m3 of this gravel, the Tallard water body was born. . Today it is named after the former mayor of the village: Charles Bailly.
Since the vegetation has regained its place and the regular maintenance offers in aerial view a magnificent spectacle. With a total area of 7 hectares, including 4 hectares of water, many birds have taken up residence and various species of fish breed in abundance.
Charles Bailly Pond Fishing (3 rods) - Attention:
- These fishing cards do not give the right to fish in the river.
- Each fisherman must have his fishing card with him.
-Camping, swimming, navigation, night fishing, radio controlled boats, float tubes and ground fires are strictly prohibited.
-Dogs must be leashed.

From 01/01 to 31/12.
Closed: from 21 May to 1 June 2025 inclusive
Pike and zander: 27 January to 24 April 2025 inclusive and from 21 May to 1 June 2025
Black bass: no kill.

-Day pass: 7€ - on site at the pond : 10€
- Fishing with 1 rod without reel is free for children under 10 years.
