This one hectare lake is located at the southern entrance of the village of St Didier sur Chalaronne. It allows you to indulge in leisure fishing, picnic, walking. There are also children’s games and public toilets nearby.

The Chalaronne originates at Villars-les-Dombes in the pounds of Birieux, Saint-Marcel and Lapeyrouse. The Chalaronne crosses 3 towns north of our territory : Saint-Etienne, Saint-Didier et Thoissey.

River "La Calonne"

It takes its source at the limit of St Trivier and Chaneins. It flows from east to west, winding through Montceaux, over 10 km, to flow into the Saône at Guéreins. Rich in trout, it makes the happiness of the fishermen!

River "l'Appéum"

Taking its source in Francheleins and joining the Saône shortly after leaving the town, the Appéum is a clean and sporty river for trout fishing. You can admire it by taking the hiking trails of Francheleins!

"La Mâtre" river

It once fed the Moulin Neuf in Messimy-sur-Saône. Tributary of the Saône, this river offers a natural and bucolic setting. It’s a nice cool spot for summer!
