Agneau Gigotin, Ain lamb.
The Coopérative des Bergers Réunis de l'Ain (COBRA) brings together some thirty sheep breeders who own almost 6,500 ewes in the department.
Born, raised and slaughtered in the Ain region, Gigotin lambs comply with rigorous specifications that require them to be breast-fed and slaughtered between 90 and 180 days of age, in order to produce clear, flavorful meat.
The traceability system implemented by the cooperative enables retailers to display the farm and commune of origin of the lambs every week!
